More efficient, more digital, more advanced, more livable – these are all characteristics that make up a smart city. Dortmund is also pursuing the goal of becoming a smart city and has developed a smart city strategy together with the city of Schwerte.
The strategy provides a comprehensive inventory of the status of digitization in Dortmund and Schwerte. It forms a concrete roadmap for the digital future, according to which the two cities are setting out under the motto “Smart we are only together”. The goal is to create a region that makes the lives of its citizens easier and more livable through innovation and digitization.
