Neighboring booth

The NachbarBude is there for everyone in the neighborhood and serves to connect citizens and actors with each other. We bundle the diverse social and cultural offerings in the neighborhood, make them visible, and stand by those seeking advice and refer them to the right place. We build bridges between craft businesses and young people who are looking for a career. We make needs in the household visible and facilitate contact with the service provider. We have a sense for the individual, everyday needs and repairs: Our booth friends help voluntarily, reliably and with heart.

WHO CAN COME TO THE NEIGHBOURHOOD?

  • Anyone who needs help in everyday life, household or repairs.
  • Anyone who would like to find out about counseling and leisure activities in the Nordstadt.
  • Anyone who would like to get involved.
  • Anyone who has problems and is looking for information/help and does not know where to go.
  • Anyone who wants to meet people from the neighborhood

ThE TEAM OF ThE NEIGHBOR Booth

The NachbarBude is a joint project of the Dortmund Economic Development Agency and the SKM Dortmund.
It is one of the projects that will be realized as part of Dortmund’s designation as “European Innovation Capital 2021”.

BE THERE.

From the neighborhood for the neighborhood

According to the municipal action plan “Socially Integrative City Dortmund” of 2022, many people live alone in Dortmund’s Nordstadt; pensioners are twice as vulnerable to poverty here compared to the city average, as are 44% of the children living here. Individual need and demand for household-related services is high. NachbarBude wants to improve the quality of life in the Nordstadt together with Dortmund businesses, service providers, social actors and volunteers. We look forward to all who participate and show that even in a big city like Dortmund neighborhood is feasible.
