The “DIVR Science Award” honors outstanding research work in the field of “Augmented, Virtual and Mixed Reality” in the European region. These are technologies that enable the user to generate technology-based experiences in virtual space, or to project digital objects into the physical world, or vice versa.
On September 27, the XR Science Award of the German Institute for Virtual Realities (DIVR e.V.) was presented at DASA and Metaverse as part of the Digital Week Dortmund 2022. The nominees of the Extended Reality (XR) Science Award 2022 did not only come from all over Germany; universities from the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland also applied for the most important VR / AR award in higher education.
